Yesterday and Today

Yesterday, the Lord was good. Kolby didn't throw up anymore. He ate water, toast and part of a banana.

I got the floor mopped and the laundry done.

Last night, he slept through the night.

Levi didn't.

I was trying to get a few more minutes of sleep and Drew got up with the boys.

Kolby was so thirsty. He downed a glass of water.

Then he threw that glass of water up.

The Lord is good. I didn't have to clean it up.

So, today, we start over with small sips of water. If all goes well, we'll move on to toast for lunch. If that goes well, he'll get toast and a banana for dinner.

Sage and Kolby are watching Tale of Despereaux.

Today is packing day.

  1. Oh, poor little guy... And poor you! We have yet to really have a stomach virus (complete with toddler throwing up) around here, and I really dread it. Hang in there through another day!

  2. Thanks for the update. I was wondering how life was with the sickies and the traveling.

Oh, no! I hope by the weekend Kolby is back to normal. Yuck. I also hope he keeps it to himself. This is the time when moms don't want kids to share.

I read your comment about your prayer last week. I do that, too, especially when we are going to travel or something big is impending...

  4. I just realized, Sage told me a couple weeks ago that he was going somewhere... Minnesota?? But it went something like this, "In two Saturdays we're going. But not two Saturdays from today, we're going two Saturdays from last Saturday, so in two Saturdays after this last Saturday...." so I just smiled and nodded. Praying for Kolby and for a safe trip!

  6. And you know that Mom would have to agree: The Lord is ALWAYS good - it's just that sometimes we notice it more than at other times... I am so glad you are noticing!!!

    Love,
    Mom
