I owe you.

I wish she would move to Houston.

Lulu and Levi meet.

Lulu and Kolby meet. One of these pics is going to look really cute in a wedding slide show someday.

Drew built the fort.

My three boys for the wedding. This is real life, y'all. They don't smile for pictures, they pick their noses, but they're still cute!

This is how we got them to smile for the wedding pictures. After each picture, if they smiled and acted right, they got 5 Skittles. Don't tell me you don't bribe your kids! No Skittles were rewarded for the taking of this picture.

Kolby, Eden, Sage. Eden loved Kolby. She danced with him at the reception and followed him around, reporting to Drew all that he did. He was a willing partner until I tried to film them, then he got all shy.

Cousins. Danny, Kolby, Sage and Caleb.

Cousins Playing King of the Mountain.

Oddly enough, I miss this.

My Alarm Clock

I never set it.
It refuses to snooze.
It goes off randomly in the middle of the night. Sometimes twice.

He's a cute alarm clock! And very persistent.

Benefit of Cloth Diapers?

This morning, the boys got up before me and Drew sent them downstairs to play. This is not an uncommon occurrence in our household since Levi has joined us. I'm tired, y'all.

Anyway, Drew went down to leave for work and came back up and told me my presence was needed downstairs. Apparently, Kolby decided to help mamma out and wash some diapers. He opened the cloth diaper pail, got out a diaper and was washing it in the bathroom sink with hand soap. He told Drew "Wash, mine."

So, should I potty train him or teach him to wash his own diapers?

On a totally unrelated note, go to Molly's blog, our photographer and check out some family pics. They're pretty good if I can say that. I am excited to get some ordered and hung up around our still empty walls.

And We're Back

- Flight to MN, went great, we had to wake up super early, 4:15 to leave by 5:15 but all went well. I packed breakfast, muffins, yogurt and clementines. We thought the yogurt might get taken but it was worth a shot!

- The day was beautiful! About 30 degrees with a fresh blanket of snow. I had shipped our winter gear and it arrived the day before us. The boys promptly put it on and played outside, in the backyard. Sage loved it. Kolby was not sure. It was really deep.

- The next day we travelled to IA. We borrowed my father in laws Murono for the week. The three car seats were in the back row as tight as possible. Kolby would help by putting Levi's pacy back in his mouth. I don't think he was ever too forceful. The bad thing was that Sage and Kolby were in hitting distance of each other. We had one incidence.

- Drew ditched us halfway and Judy drove with us the rest of the way. Apparently, Matthew needed some help moving and my twenty minute stop to nurse was way too long.

- Judy and I took the kids to Old Chicago for pizza. As we were leaving, Sage starts singing "Jesus loves me" at the top of his lungs. It had been a long car ride, Levi had been upset a lot, I was sweating etc. In my mind I was telling him to shut up. Out loud, I said "We don't sing in restaurants." or something like that.

- We took the boys to my brother and sister in laws house to play with their boys and of course, outside. Again, a perfect day for playing outside.

- That night we ate at Hickory Park our favorite college restaurant. Drew and I would go on dates there and eat for $10. Water, no dessert. I love that place. I never thought I would miss it. But I do.

- Drew went to the bachelor party while I put the boys to bed at the hotel.

- Friday morning, Drew took our boys and two nephews swimming. He's such a great dad.

- I stayed at the hotel to give the boys naps and Drew went to visit friends. Then it was time for the rehearsal.

- Sage and Kolby were ring bearers.

- Kolby got pulled.

- At rehearsal, the flower girl went first, throwing her petals. Kolby stopped said "flower" sat down and started picking them up. Sage yelled "NO BO! We have to keep walking"

- Rehearsal dinner, Levi slept on the floor of the restaurant.

- Wedding Day. My mom took care of Kolby and Levi, they both slept during the wedding. Someone else's baby screamed.

- Sunday, we got our family picture taken by Drew's cousin. Waiting for the results!

- Sunday afternoon, drove to my sister's house in Iowa.

- Boys played outside again, riding on the snowmobile, sledding down the hill and building a fort. So, maybe Drew built most of the fort.

- Celebrated Christmas with my family.

- Monday, very cold. -30, Hung out with family.

- Tuesday, Drew drove to MN to meet with friends and fly home that night. Very cold. -30 again.

- I went to visit my best friend, Karoline and introduce Levi to Lulu.

- Wed. Karoline came to visit us.

- Thurs. my parents drove us to MN so we could fly out on Friday night with my in-laws.

- My mother in law took me to Gymboree to use her "coupon".

- Friday, we hung out, packed up and left for the airport.

- We flew from 7 - 10 and neither Kolby or Sage slept.

- We got home around 11 and the sprinklers kicked on. We had to run cautiously through the sprinklers but then got stuck running through a broken one. It was shooting straight up. Levi had screamed most of the way home from the airport, Kolby and Sage had slept. All three were crying by the time we got inside. It was cold water.

Welcome Home!

- My inlaws are here this week visiting. I am struggling to finish laundry and unpack from our trip.

- And I have a cold.

- I hope my blogging and commenting picks up soon.

Staycation

Drew has been home all week, so we've had a staycation of sorts. It has been so nice, I've gotten an unbelievable amount of errands done, mostly kid free. Levi usually hangs with mom.

We had some friends over on New Years Eve for pizza and some Wii play. They left about 10:15 and we decided to keep Sage up for the 11:00 ball drop. All 3 of us changed into jammies and started watching. Sage's eyelids got really heavy and the next thing we knew, he was asleep. We woke him up once. He changed positions and fell back asleep. We woke him again and he laid across Drew and fell asleep again. This time, we woke him right as the ball dropped. He wasn't thrilled with the new year.

I might have cried a little watching Dick Clark. It made me sad to listen to him speak. And it was a little unnerving to hear him and also see how he looks exactly the same. And I didn't enjoy watching him kiss his wife. Enough said.

Do you ever feel like you can't pull it together?

That's how I feel about this impending trip for my brother in laws wedding. It seems like no matter how many times I go shopping, I'm still missing something for someone. Right now, Kolby needs new shoes. His feet seemingly sprouted over night. And Levi needs some clothes. Or maybe I just need to do laundry. No,
definitely, he needs some clothes!

I just finished our New Years cards today. Okay, so I need a few more addresses but I'm calling it done and letting Drew finish. The addresses are for his family.

I am still working on a to do list that I started before Christmas. Vacuum and mop floor never got crossed off. Neither did mail mom and Tate birthday cards.

That's my life. A never ending to do list. I need to make another one of things to do before we leave. Including take down Christmas decorations.

I probably won't be around much the next couple weeks, we'll be traveling and then Drew's parents will be here. And that to do list is waiting for me.

I'm nervous for the wedding, Sage and Kolby are ring bearers. Enough said. They look cute in their outfits though. And we got haircuts today.

I have a ton of pictures that I want to post at some point.

The end.

Levi has bad baby acne, pray it clears up before he meets a bunch of family for the first time. Isn't that a silly prayer request?! Oh and throw in there that no one gets sick and all travel goes safely with no delays. You know, those little things.

Now, really, the end. I feel like I need to say Amen but I'm not sure why.

I basically just wrote down my thoughts. Scary, huh?
