My Wallet is a Little Lighter

Kirsten is on her way.

What can I say? The people have spoken. And they spoke very convincingly.

Even Drew said I should order it.

In fact, he told me last night that I should order it. And he almost ordered it today but didn't want to impose on my convictions. Is he not the sweetest?

I love my husband.

  1. I am with Amanda and I am going to start praying for a daughter...

and then we can all three get together so that our "daughters can play" with "their" dolls. :)

I am SO glad that you got it... I might have done a little dance at the computer for you!

  2. I actually thought this might happen. I remember a very special Swedish Barbie....

    Happy for you still,

  6. This post made me smile. I was thinking of you when we were mailed the American Girl catalog this week. I still think she's one of the best. I still have my Molly if you ever want to get our dolls together. Hahaha!

  7. Yay! I thought about you yesterday when mom told me that she tried to order a few accessories for "our" Kirsten and everything is sold out. I can't believe they are retiring such a well loved one. So thrilled she's going to be yours whether displayed or in a box on the shelf. You'll smile just knowing she's there :) And I'll pray that your heart's desire will be God's will for your sweet family.

  8. SO glad you made this decision! :) I think it is worthwhile, definitely. Someday when I have kids our daughters can play with the two retired American Girl dolls - Felicity and Kirsten. Love it. Of course, my daughter would probably be like 7 and yours 17, but minor detail.
